We’ve got some good news: Mulgas Adventures has won Best Multi-Day Tour/Activity and the Cultural Award at the 2026 Adventure Tourism Awards.
For our family-owned business in Alice Springs, taking home both awards means a lot. We’re proud of the team behind every departure, grateful to everyone who voted, and very happy to have another reason to celebrate around the campfire.
If you’ve travelled with us, recommended us to a friend or helped spread the word, you’ve been part of this too. Thank you.
Two awards for our outback adventures
The Adventure Tourism Awards recognise businesses across Australia and New Zealand’s youth and adventure tourism industry. The results combine independent judging with public votes, so the support from our travellers and community helped us get here.
Winning Best Multi-Day Tour/Activity is something we’re proud of. A lot goes into a Mulgas tour: the planning before you arrive, the guides behind the wheel, the meals at camp and all the small things that keep a group moving.
We’re also proud to receive the Cultural Award. The Red Centre has much more to offer than a backdrop for your photos. We want people to leave with a better understanding of the places they’ve visited, as well as a camera roll full of memories.
Looking for the best multi-day Uluru tour?
Start with the kind of trip you actually want.
Do you want to get out on the walking tracks? See Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon on the same trip? Spend your nights camping and share the experience with other travellers?
Our four-day Rock-to-Rock Uluru tour brings those things together. It’s made for travellers aged 18–49 who are keen to get involved, get a little dusty and spend a few days out bush.
The awards are a reason to feel good about choosing Mulgas. The right fit still matters: this is an active camping trip, with walks, early starts and everyone helping with the day-to-day jobs at camp.
Four days of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon
Rock-to-Rock gives you four days and three nights to explore the Red Centre with an experienced guide.
There’s your first close-up look at Uluru, sunset with the group, a walk through Kata Tjuta’s Valley of the Winds and the Kings Canyon Rim Walk. There’s also time away from the main sights, including a night at our private bush camp at Curtin Springs.
Back at camp, you’ll share a meal, swap stories and roll out your swag. Come on your own or bring a mate; either way, you’ll be sharing the ride with people from different places.

To everyone who helped us get here: thank you
To our guides and the team behind the scenes, thank you for the early starts, the long days and the effort you put into looking after our travellers.
To everyone who voted, left a review, shared a photo or told someone to book with Mulgas, we appreciate it. The same goes for our agents and local partners who keep recommending us and supporting what we do.
We love seeing people arrive for a tour and leave with a few new mates, a better idea of the outback and plenty to talk about. These awards give us a chance to recognise everyone who helps make that happen.
Celebrate with $100 off November departures
To celebrate our two award wins, we’re offering $100 off all November 2026 departures.
If the Red Centre is still on your list for this year, take a look at the dates and come out with us.
GO OUTBACK. We’ll see you out there.
