Must Do Outback Experience! What an amazing trip! Easily my favorite and most memorable experience after 2+ months of traveling. Our guide Laura went above and beyond to ensure we did the best hikes and had ample time to soak in every sunrise and sunset. She encouraged a friendly and social environment and by the last night the whole group was joking together like old friends around the campfire. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

The only word I can use to describe this tour was “magical.” The sites were above and beyond every expectation in terms of beauty, the hikes were incredibly rewarding, but what makes a tour really stand out is the organisation of the company and tour guide. Laura was a professional, in every sense of the word, as our tour leader. She went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the group was looked after, involved and having a great time. Her expertise of the culture, history, natural landscape , flora and fauna, meant I walked away from this trip with knowledge and experiences I will have for a lifetime. Laura’s approach to making sure everyone was on schedule meant we had the privilege of seeing the sites from the best viewing spots and at the best times of day. I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat and if you have Laura as a guide, you’re in for an experience with one of the best in the business!

Aussie Outback Adventure Definitely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Aussie Outback experience with our guide Rachel. She has always made sure we are safe the whole trip such as making sure we are hydrated. She made sure everyone is on time and prepare great meals. Shout out to her Potato Bake and Damper!!! 🙌🏻

THE Red Centre tour to go on if you’re a solo traveller Without question one of, if not the best, things I did in my 5 weeks in Australia. Visiting the Red Centre was high on my bucket list and I’m so glad I chose to experience it with Mulgas. If you’re young or a solo traveller/backpacker then this is definitely the tour to go on. It covers all of the best sites to see in the Red centre, the food and camping was great and the itinerary is well thought out. In particular, a big shout out to our guides CJ and Leelee who worked really hard to make the trip as fun and interesting as possible. Really admire their ability to keep positive vibes going at all times and chat with everyone, even though the days are very long and tiring! Yes you have to help with cooking, washing up and other tasks, but when shared between all of the group members, it really isn’t a hardship and it all adds to the experience. Sleeping in a swag was better than I thought it was going to be - surprisingly comfortable and we were lucky to have incredible views of the stars. One thing to consider if you travel in April is that the flies can be hard work at times, however the weather was perfect and you avoid the busy season winter months so overall it was probably a price worth paying! Highly recommend this to other solo travellers and backpackers, and it’s nice to support a family owned local business!

Fan-freegin-tastic! I wish I could add more stars, but 5/5 will have to do! Laura was the best guide ever. She took care of the group very well, gave lots of info, answered questions, provided an excellent musical soundtrack to the entire trip, fed everyone well, taught us skills, checked in on everyone, had a great sense of humour, told great stories, and on and on. If you want an experience of a lifetime, do not hesitate a moment to book with Mulgas. Unforgettable!

Once in a lifetime outback experience What an amazing experience in the heart of the Aussie outback. Such an unforgettable time exploring Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon, as well as learning more about Aboriginal culture and lifestyle. Loved being able to get stuck in to helping prep meals, setting up camp and collecting firewood each night. Our tour guide Rachel took such good care of us and made it such a seamless experience for us all. Highly recommend!

A absolute must do in Australia! Everything about this tour was amazing. Laura was our tour guide and ran everything so great. She was so organized, knowledgeable, and cooked the best meals. Trying camel burgers and kangaroo steaks in the outback is something I won’t forget! The visibility of the stars is absolutely incredible and getting to sleep in swags under them was the biggest highlight. Laura’s music playlist was 10/10 — the most perfect songs for every stage in the trip. The hikes and views were awesome and Laura definitely knows what she’s doing when she plans the trip the way she does!! We met some amazing people and our group bonded so well. This trip is something I will never forget. I’m so glad we went with Mulgas for this tour and feel extra lucky we got Laura as our guide. Definitely a must do in Aus.

Wonderful camping tour of Uluru and more Just come back from the 4 day Rock to Rock tour and it was amazing! Our tour guides CJ and Leelee did so much to make our experience incredible and were always so filled with positivity. Unforgettable experience. Do it, do it now! I have zero regrets other than I can’t do it again, and again, and again! Uluru, Kata Tjuṯa and Kings Canyon were some of the most impressive and inspiring natural formations I have ever witnessed. The peace and quiet at the remote star covered campsites, with my feet in the red sand, was almost spiritual. The tour itinerary was a wonderful balance of discovery, wonder and rest. Our guide Phill, was awesome! effortlessly ticking all the boxes: calm, funny, knowledgeable, organised… and had a stash of TimTams! Often missed from reviews is the care taken when driving the tour bus. I am a bus driver and I have a hard time being a passenger as I am always trying to use an imaginary brake pedal. Not this time, I could sit and watch the scenery waft past without a care. Even when some Brumbies decided to run across the road in front of us. Everything was amazing, Phil took it up a level.

Unforgettable! I highly recommend this trip with mulgas adventure! They really go above and beyond to make the days you spend with them unforgettable. It was very fortunate to have Rachel n Taylor on the trip, as any slight issue that arose was met with a quick solution. Overall you will have an amazing time, as the hikes offer incredible scenery, the knowledge provided is very interesting, the food was so good n the snacks provided was much more then I expected but most importantly it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, with awesome people on the tour to share it with.

Amazing! I was a bit nervous about the trip before as I was joining on my own, but I quickly discovered it was an exciting adventure in a van. Rachel and Taylor knew a lot about outback in Australia, I learnt so much over the few days. They even made some trouble into something to enjoy and I had a great time entire trip. I never camped out in a swag but I found it was great. Full of activities, sense of achievement, mesmerising sceneries and some giggles. I highly recommend travelling with them, I couldn’t made my trip any better without them.

The scenery was absolutely stunning, and Mulgas made it even more special with their fantastic guides and beautiful camping spots. Rock the Walk!! Well, where do I start? When you get a tour guide who knows what they are doing, always with a smile and is full of positivity, that would make your trip comfortable and memorable. Liv was one such person/guide. If you are a person who likes to rough it out, get into nature, and make some friends, I would suggest this tour. I loved how Liv explained each location's history and geography and answered all our questions. Incredible experience on the 4 day Rock to Rock tour Just finished up the four day Rock to Rock tour and I can’t begin to describe how incredible the experience was. From watching the sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa to sleeping under the stars at bush camp I’ve had the most magical weekend. A special mention goes to our wonderful guide Alex - he went out of his way to make the experience special for us and was so generous with his time and knowledge, and he undoubtedly made the experience as special as it was! Plus his music taste was ace, so the longer drives flew by.

Best experience ever! It was amazing!! Had such a great time meeting new people exploring all the places on the four day tour with CJ. Even tho the weather/rain wasn’t the best it was so enjoyable seeing some things that some people might not get to see. We saw waterfalls which were beautiful. Amazing experience with Rachel I had a good time at the 4d3n tour. We were lucky enough to have rain in the area, to see rivers, ponds and waterfalls in places where they are usually dry. Our guide, Rachel, is cheerful, knowledgeable, funny, capable and optimistic. From her we learnt about the dream time stories, local Fauna and Flora, the aboriginals. Despite the subpar weather, she did everything on her power to make sure we can sleep dry age comfortably and to give us extra opportunities to see sun set and sun rise when the weather got better towards the end of the trip. Must do in Australia The 4D3N Tour was one of the best things I’ve done in Australia. We had such an amazing time even if the weather wasn‘t very good. Our guide Rachel tried so hard so we can see a sunset and sunrise at Uluru and we even got pancakes at the Uluru for sunrise because we had such a bad luck with all the other sunsets und sunrises. Thank you so much! The hikes were amazing. I‘d say a tour with mulgas is a must do during a visit in Australia.

4 day rock to rock tour This tour was an incredible, unique experience. It was one of my highlights of travelling Australia and was one of the only opportunities I had to learn about Indigenous culture. The scenes and hikes were absolutely stunning and camping in swags sleeping under the Milky Way was such an amazing experience. CJ was a fabulous tour guide so informative, enthusiastic and supportive. She really brought the group together and I met some lovely people!

Our tour guide CJay was fun, engaging, insightful and really committed to creating memorable experiences for everyone on the tour. Each of the sites we visited and explored offered an amazing insight into the heart of Australia, it's first peoples and environment. It's clear that the Mulga tours team are a tight community of passionate guides that are committed to creating an authentic outdoor experience. I really enjoyed being a part of a community of travellers, making camp together, cooking, cleaning up, walking, talking, laughing and exploring together. Our Tour guide helped create community, which was a great way to explore the outback. Uluru 4 day rock-rock tour I went on the 4 day rock to rock tour, and it was one of the best trips I have done so far! Central Australia is a beautiful place, Uluru is a place I have wanted to visit for some time, and even in the rain it did not disappoint. The other walks around Kata Tjuta and kings canyon had some breath taking views too. C-Jay was an amazing guide, so friendly, with so much knowledge of the culture and geography of the areas we saw - you can tell she really loves her job, which made the tour all the better! I have to say, my favourite part of the tour was at the bush camp, when we could look up and see the stars - it is definitely worth doing the 4 days just for this. The trip is definitely excellent value for money, with all the travel, and the food included. The only downside I would say, would be the amount of flies around - but as long as you take a flynet, you'll be all good ! If you want to see the highlights of central Australia, in a small tour group, with great tour guides I'd 100% recommend !

Amazing tour with incredible guide 🙂 Had the most amazing time on this tour! Sooo much better than those big buses - being with a smaller tour meant we always arrived at the sites and explored in much more depth, and the small group made it easy to ask questions and get to know the other people on the tour really well. Would 100% recommend for solo travellers - you meet lots of new people and there is never a dull moment! Our guide Alex was absolutely incredible, so knowledgeable on everything and made the experience super fun. You will not be disappointed!

Rock to Rock Tour An amazing tour. Our tour guide Alex was great and told us a lot about the area we are in. I travelled solo but I still had a great time because I got to know so many new people. The walks we did started early but that was good because then it wasn’t to hot and we got to see a sunrise in the Kings canyon. Food was amazing and in the evenings we spent a lot of time together as a tour group. I would definitely recommend it.

Made all the better by our amazing tour guide CJay who did a fantastic job as a trainee tour guide - seemed so natural it was as if they'd been doing it for years. Shout out also to Simon who was helping on the tour! The early starts were definitely worth it for all the amazing sunrises, so happy to have learned about and been immersed in the local culture and see Uluru up close from all angles, definitely a bucket list item ticked off. It was extremely well organised, jam packed with activities and such an enjoyable trip! Phil our tour guide was amazing! Amazing experience Don’t miss heading out to the Northern Territory if you are in Aus! The 3N4D Uluru tour with Mulgas was incredible and so much fun! The food was great, I loved trying the damper (Aussie dessert). Sleeping under the stars, the different walks and watching the sunsets and sunrises from different viewpoints was amazing. Definitely one of my favorite things I did in Australia, highly recommend 🙂 The tour was well organised, the food was great, and Rachel was a very knowledgable tour guide. She was very well informed and loved to answer any questions we had! Even in the 40 degree heat we were able to do some hikes by waking up early in the morning and having plenty of water with us! I would definetely recommend this tour to any backpackers wanting to explore the Red Centre!

Experience of a lifetime! I did the three night Uluru tour with Mulgas. It was absolutely brilliant! The food was great and I really enjoyed trying kangaroo steak and camel burger! We had damper (an Australian desert) cooked on an open fire! It was a once in a life time experience to see the sunrise and sunset every day in the red centre. Sleeping under the stars in a swag each night is undescribable. Our guides CJ and Simon were just brilliant!! CJ's enthusiasm was infectious! I did not stop laughing or smiling for the whole tripI cannot recommend the tour enough!

I recommend this tour Unfortunately I will not be able to complete the tour due to health problems (own mistake, not the organization's), but that is not the point of this review. I have been helped and taken care of me very well. By being alert as a group leader, things turned out well for me. they gave me the care I needed and helped before/during/after the tour. you are not a number but are really treated like a person, which is very nice, especially as a solo traveler. thanks again for your help, especially Rachel and Jase! 100% Recommend Such an amazing tour and experience. We did the four day, three night tour, it was so well planned. 41 degrees every day and the days were planned so that we could have earlier starts to get hikes finished before it got too hot and travelling on the air-conned bus while it was at its peak heat. Each campsite had great facilities. Our tour guide, Phil was amazing had such knowledge at each attraction and very friendly. Food was lovely and we were given plenty of snacks throughout the day. Would highly recommend this tour.

THE BEST OUTBACK EXPERIENCE! Calling all adventurous spirits! I had THE MOST AMAZING TIME with Mulgas exploring Uluru, Kata-Tjuta, and Kings Canyon -- even in 40*C+ heat. Everything was down-to-earth, raw, and exactly the way you want to experience this dramatic landscape: hiking with knowledgable guides, immersing yourself in the indigenous history and significance of the area, watching the sun rise and set over an otherworldly scene, and sleeping under the wide open sky. This tour is not for the faint of heart. There are bugs, there are wild camels a few meters away from camp (watching them graze in the moonlight from my swag is something I will never forget), and there are a lot of very early mornings. But all of that creates this incredibly genuine camping experience and if you want to experience the outback, this is the perfect quick immersion. I have to give extra props to our legendary guides, CJ and Simon. They made an unforgettable experience also the most fun experience in Australia! Kind, knowledgable, and silly, they made 4AM wake-ups easy, 7km hikes in 40*C safe, and 3+ hour bus rides a laugh. I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you so much Mulgas, CJ and Simon, you are one in a million ✨

Other “budget” trips I’ve been on the food hasn’t been as nice and was more like rations Don’t be put off by going in summer if you need to, you do the walks in the morning and then the driving or chilling in a pool when it’s warmer in the middle of the day. Fantastic 4 days in the outback I did the 4 day rock to rock tour and I couldn't recommend it enough. The scenery, campsites and all the activities were great fun especially the swag camping and sunrise / sunsets. Alex our guide was fantastic. He included everyone, was knowledgeable about the history, culture, plants and animals we encountered. He worked hard to make it fun for everyone and made sure everyone was included. The food was great and there was always more than enough. Plus the surprise Tim tams went down a treat! Definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing After undertaking the 4-day tour of Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon with Mulgas Adventure as a couple, our experience was truly memorable despite the scorching heat! The group consisted of 20 people from various nationalities, but we all shared the same enthusiasm and sense of adventure, making mutual discovery very enjoyable. Everyone helped each other during the tour and looked out for one another. The sacred sites and scenery were truly amazing to discover, definitely worth it! Finally, we really want to thank our guide: Laura. She was our guide, mechanic, cook, emergency responder, driver, etc., and she did a fantastic job. We always had descriptions of the sites we were visiting, always arrived at photo spots before everyone else, the food was great, the organization was spot on, she was truly authentic, and most importantly, she made everything work together, and that's the kind of thing that makes the experience go from good to amazing! Amazing rock tour The Rock to Rock Tour brought us to some really amazing places around the red center of Australia. Also our tour guide Simon was very friendly and insightful, telling us about the cultural and geological history of the places we went to.

Outback experience as its best!! We did the 4 days rock to rock tour in 2023 for the first time with Mulgas Adventure and loved it so much, that we did it again in February 2024. Awesome trip This trip was amazing! Our tour guides Simon and Rachel were definitely one of the best tour guides I ever had. So much fun with them! And also don’t be afraid of sleeping outside in the Outback ..it was actually one of my highlights to watch the stars at night.

Amazing Outback Experience We did the 4-day rock to rock tour and we were so amazed about what it's like to be in the outback. We saw awesome places and amazing sunsets. Experience of a lifetime As an Australian couple who have always wanted to visit Uluṟu and experience a taste of the desert, this trip exceeded all expectations…and my expectations were high to begin with after reading all the great reviews! Excellent value trip and the bonus for me was the tasty meals prepared by our Guide, Alex and sleeping in swags looking up to the glorious night sky! Plus meeting like minded people from all around the world whom we now call friends. Lors of fun, great people… the real outback adventure ! The 4 days Rock-to-Rock tour is honestly one of the best tours I’ve ever done ! We got to explore a lot of the geological sites, including Uluru and Kings Canyon, while getting a better understanding of the aboriginal culture. Alex has been an amazing guide as well as a fantastic chef 😊.

The most amazing experience I’ve ever had!!!! I did the 4 Day Rock to Rock tour with Phil and Courtney and it was amazing. They were amazing and did a great job! I loved everything about it. The things I’ve seen were incredible. Uluru, Kaja Tjuta and Greeks Canyon were amazing. But also everything around that was so nice. The campsites and the food were also really nice. I loved sleeping outside, under the stars. It was comfortable and of course beautiful, because of all the stars you could see in the sky. I recommend this tour to everybody. And if you’re not sure, because of sleeping outside or the temperature. I can tell you, everything is going to be fine, you don’t have to worry. Because the whole experience is just so beautiful!

Amazing Tour I went on this tour with my two friends and we had the best time. We met lovely people too. Our tour guides were Phil and Courtney, they were brilliant. The trip was so well organised and our tour guides were great. I learnt loads about aboriginal culture and loved the hikes we did. Sleeping under the stars was a great experience and so beautiful. The best outback experience you can get! In January we did the 4 days Tour from Mulgas Adventure. We went to Uluru and watched the sunset, sunrise and we were always the first persons there to get the best views. Laura was our tourguide and she was fabulous! She made this tour for us to the best outback experience we could get and she always took care for us. Because of the heat, was the timing important and we started hiking in the early mornings. And that was great. We were completely alone at the Kings Canyon. Incredible views! We had in this three different camping places so much fun, by sleeping under the swags, chatting and having fun with new friends (also one day in a pool) and Laura cooks really delicious food (Kamel burger, BBQ, Pancakes, Damper etc.) Beside that we learned also something about the history and geology and it was always funny with Laura. Also the bus drive was never boring with music and games! Thanks a lot on Mulgas Adventure and Laura!

Best Uluru Tour!! We did the 4 day rock to rock tour with Mulgas and couldn’t recommend it enough. Our guides Rachel and Alex were amazing, so knowledgeable and organised but also super friendly - they made sure we were always the first at popular sunrise and sunset spots. Although the outback heat was tough, our activities were mostly early morning so we would usually be travelling in the air con van in the peak heat of the day. Can’t thank Mulgas, Rachel and Alex enough for this trip of a lifetime!

Best uluru tour in Australia!! I went on the 4-day uluru tour with mulgas, and it was absolutely amazing! The tour guides, Rachel and Alex made the whole experience extraordinary! The food was amazing, and even though it was extremely hot we did some great hikes.

Such a well organised trip, amazing hikes, beautiful scenery and a unique experience of sleeping under the stars. Laura was our guide and was just brilliant. Amazing experience: beautiful scenery, incredible group and THE guide to make it exceptional. I did the 4 days tour (Uluru, Kata Tjuta and kings canyon) with Mulgas adventure while traveling solo. I had a really amazing experience despite the scorching heat! The group was made up of 20 people with a wide variety of nationalities but I think we all shared the same enthousiasm and sense of adventure which made it very pleasant to discover each other. Everyone was helping during the tour and looking after one another. Sacred sites and scenery were really amazing to discover, definitely worth your time ! Finally, I would like to really thank pour guide : Laura. She was our, guide, mechanic, cook, emergency first responder, driver, etc and she did a fantastic job. We always had descriptions of the site we were visiting, we always got to photo spots before everyone else, food was great, organisation was on spot, she was truly authentic and most importantly she made it all work together and that the kind of thing that makes the experience from good to amazing! Beautiful and authentic outback experience Amazing camping tour in Australia‘s red centre. Laura was an absolute gem of a tour guide, she knows so much about the geography of the region, Aboriginal history and culture and surviving in the outback. She always made sure to be the first group at all the spots and knew the best views for the most beautiful Uluru experience. It was pretty hot (43 degrees) on our tour so we did all the hikes in the early morning, which meant getting up at 3-4 am, but was absolutely worth it. Katatjuta and King’s Canyon are at least as stunning as Uluru and made for some beautiful hikes as well. Laura always made sure that we all stayed safe in the heat and had the time of our lifes. Sleeping in a swag is definitely a great experience although it can be hard in the heat or when it starts raining in the middle of the night. I did enjoy it a lot though and would definitely do it again. This tour felt like the most authentic way to experience the outback and these memories will stay with me forever. Huge thanks to Laura and my amazing group as well. We all grew together in sharing this experience and it was an absolute blast!

Once in a lifetime experience I couldn't have imagined a better way to explore the vast desert of the Australian outback. This trip had so much to offer: exploring Uluru/Kata-Tjuta NP and Kings Canyon, camping in the bush, stargazing at the night sky, hiking breathtaking trails and meeting lots of interesting people. To top it all off, you get to enjoy this trip under the guidance of a tour guide like Alex. Alex was well prepared, he had a lot of insider information, he is a great cook and as authentic as he is, you get to see the area through the eyes of a local. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget.

This tour is an absolute must if you’re thinking about exploring the beautiful red centre - all transport, food, tours and sleeping arrangements sorted for you and if you’re lucky enough to have Alex as your tour guide, you’ll have a ball! Amazing experience We had an amazing experience in the outback: sleeping under the stars, cooking on the camp fire, stunning sunrises and sunsets. A special thank you to Laura, who is an excellent guide. She has so much knowledge to share and so many storys to tell. She knows how to bring fun and motivation even in difficult moments (getting up at 3 am and coping with the heat) I am 55 years old, I was OK and would absolutely recommend the tour. But Mulgas Adventures does right to check with “older travellers” that they are physically in shape.
